March 2015 – Joan of Art's Ship of Imagination

Evolutionary adaptability improvement: Has successfully adapted the skills of climbing 1000 meters (give or take) mountain of Sierra Madre to Buntot-Palos Falls
Mission Accomplished. YAY! 😀

Technically, I can say that this is my first successful climb as I didn’t make it to the peak (last fountain) on my very first attempt to climb a mountain in Mambukal,Bacolod.

Thanks to the tour guide. It was a successful climb because of him. He helped me carry my bag all the way up. Cheers! 😀

At first I was like, “Are you sure you want to carry my bag, because I think I can manage” – says the typical me who doesn’t want to be treated like “a pain in the ass”. He might be thinking – if I can’t make it on my own, I shouldn’t do this in the first place hahaha I know he’s a tour guide, but his job doesn’t include carrying guests’ belongings. I left him some tips, I would say fair enough. 🙂

I’m not used to climbing mountains. This is not even my past-time. And as much as possible I don’t want to do it, because it’s exhausting as fuck. I guess I’m the last (not to mention lazy) person you would know to do the “climbing stuff”. My body and feet still hurt like a bitch. I climbed because it is my birthday-month climb. Plus, I need to be prepared for my Batad trip this April (hahaha reasons). Also, I had read some blogs that it is just an easy one-hour climb (goddammint, yet more proof that you don’t have to believe in everything you’ve read on the internet, you guys – be skeptical.)

Overall, I had a blast. It was all worth it, after seeing the 80 meter height waterfalls. And that alone will surely suffice an extraordinary adventure.

Since we are celebrating the International Women’s Day, let me wrap up to you some of the interesting films in 2011 that were intended for women. I wanted to write an interesting topic – I mean a thought-provoking article such as; a woman who revolutionized the minds of many in the 15th century, women in the history of human spacefaring endeavors – but It’ll take time to do research on those. So I came up with an easy topic to discuss – movies (at least for me – it is easy) . Haha 😛

What is the difference between films for men and films for women? I’m not segregating things or whatsoever – but there are films which were obviously intended for girls. Movies that most of the guys might find boring and cheap while the women might find it brilliant. For some girls, watching movies makes them relax and entertain. In 2011, many movies won the cinemas with their interesting plots. Half of the films that I’ve truly enjoyed were from a Rom-Com genre which I’m certain that most of the women will consider to watch.

ABOUT ME : JOAN OF ART

Hooray! You’re seeing my page because you have decided to waste a portion of your time, haven’t you? Or maybe, suddenly you’ve got interested and would like to hear some of my nonsensical tales that somehow you will find titillating – hopefully. Either way, I’m glad you’re here. My domain name “Ship of the imagination” was snatched from the (1980) Cosmos TV series (Now we have the 2014 Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson which is a follow-up to that series). Sounds cool, huh! No, it’s freaking awesome, man. For those who knows what the cosmos is, they’ll surely get what I meant by that.

And for those less fortunate people who haven’t got the chance to meet Carl Sagan’s ship of the imagination (why? I wouldn’t miss it for the world) – I’ll expound how wonderful it is.

Carl and his famous ship of the imagination had taken us from the edge of the known universe back to our pale blue dot planet.
Carl Sagan had his own Personal Voyage on his ship of the imagination – and then – I was like, why not create my own version of that one which was focused on my life experience. I guess this is also a good opportunity to extract my remaining creative juices in my brain cells.

I have a huge fascination with the very deep sea and all the life-forms that live deep down there. I feel so relax if those creatures exposed their beauty in my very own eyes. They are all wonderful. If you want to talk about movies and TV series, as a movie enthusiast I can lend you my shoulder. I appreciate anything that can give me a good-ass laugh.

I don’t need to say much, just check my blog and don’t judge, that was made for my personal amusement.
